Has there ever been a country that didn't tightly control press access to military information in time of war?  Look at Russia in Chechnia and then tell me this is an American problem!  By declaring what is essentially a criminal manhunt to be a War On Terrorism, Dubya's minions have established the necessary nominal conditions to restrict and control information flow. Methinks, there is some all-too-suspiciously Bushy, wooly blindfolding descending inexorably over ol' Brucie's brow, right now, sho' nuff! How so, Aaron?  I just call 'em as I see 'em

Yup.  The parallels between Rome, Britain, and the U.S.A. can be pretty startling

In my view there isn't much difference between an empire which kills 10 thousand or 10 million innocent women and children. Any empire that could but doesn't avoid killing innocent people, including women and children is barbaric, and clearly - evil. The people are all ok -everywhere - it's the leadership which is massively corrupt. I'd like to carry that message a bit further and say that even the men killed are innocent victims of their governments and religious leaders, having been misled to what it means to be noble or spiritual. I consider all sinners to be innocent for one or more of the following reasons: 1) They did not know they were sinning (and/or) 2) They did not understand the importance of avoiding their sin (and/or) 3) They did not know how to avoid the sin One or more of those three apply to each one of us that continues to sin and collect karma.
