This is my opinion, of course, but here are some of the reasons I feel this way. Number one is that unlike Hollywood crime shows, The First Forty-Eight does not glorify crime or criminals, drug addiction, sexual depravity and other behavioral filth in any way, and it is real and actual with no professional actors. But it is also great TV because of its sociological and moral message. The show  in no way lends itself to sensationalism, or like NBC's Law and Order s
