To make an alphabet scrapbook for a child, I suggest using an 8x8 album. My sister takes hundreds and hundreds of pictures of her daughter. I remember thinking “there she is with a banana”, and “there she is with an apple”, thus the idea of an alphabet scrapbook developed. I like stencils. I created all 26 letters using a stencil. I then mounted the letters on the opposite corners. For example, “A” was in the upper left corner, while “B” was in the upper right corner of the adjoining page. I’ve also seen alphabet scrapbooks with the letter centered on the top of each page. The option to put the letter in the bottom corners or centered on the bottom is also there. Or create your album mixing all of the above with the letters in various places throughout the album. Try putting the letter in the center of the page and then building your photos around the letter.

From a fragile helpless little creature who could barely open his eyes, you've seen how your little kid bloomed to become the active, curious, and energetic one-year-old that he is right now. Now is the time when he graduates from the rattles and baby squeaky toys that used to make him burst into a fit of giggles. Now is the time when he progresses to more advanced toys that will be suitable in developing his skills and stimulating his mental growth.

There are hundreds of online preschool games, and many of these can also be used as online toddler games. Some of the best are featured here and each one has a different way of teaching besides what you see at first look. Each one of these is a little different than the others. Each one focuses on a practice for kids to get them used to the computer and learn how to use it with more ease. Before trying any of these games you might want to consider using the kids rocket browser that you can lock as a parent. This keeps them from leaving the program and opening other software, and ultimately messing up the computer. It comes with two art programs and a couple of math programs preinstalled to give them even more options. You can find it easily by searching through google. The 5 games are listed below.

Children love new activities. Toddlers, in particular, like being given attention and what better way to keep them happy than play interesting games with them? Here is a list of amusing and entertaining activities for your toddler to enjoy with you. To teach your little one color, you can make each day a color day. So if it is a yellow day, you and your child wears yellow outfits, eat yellow bananas and pasta, point at yellow sun and use yellow table covers and put yellow flowers in the living room. This will make him remember the colors more effectively. To help him understand shapes you can use cardboard boxes of different shapes and sizes and create train out of them. Empty cereal boxes; take out covers and other such throw away can be used to create the train. Make holes and use string to connect the end of one box with the front of the other.

It's a beautiful day and your toddler or preschooler is begging to go outside. What to do when you get out? Walk to Park. The walk alone is enough to keep them busy. When you there, of course they'll even have more to do. It's a great time for you to relax a bit and enjoy the day, keeping an eye on them while they bounce from one activity to the other. Play Fresbie - If you have a small backyard, you might need to go to the park to do this. However, if your yard is big enough this is a simple activity you can do at home. Be sure to see our other ideas for things to do with your children!
