Patricia A. Shaffer proclaimed on news.admin.net-abuse.email that: Oh, I do, indeed, on abdomen and shoulder ... the ones on my thigh and breast have quite faded, though. And Nikki, the Siamese so discommoded, has forgiven me ... she brought me a freshly killed mouse yesterday. <g What did you say? Not ewwww-yuck surely?
I said, Oh, Nikki, is that for me? She purred assent. I picked it up by the tail and examined it: it was a large male with brownish fur on its tail, looked like a cross between a gerbil and a field mouse, with not a mark on it, no blood, just a funny angle to the neck. I told Nikki what a fine huntress she was, and what a clean kill she had brought me, and, of course I thanked her. She washed her whiskers and paws, then curled up on the chair for a nap. I wrapped the gift in a paper towel, and surreptitiously tucked it in the trash-barrel outside. Later, I gave Nikki a piece of roast beef, when the other cats were out on the front porch railing watching it snow. Patricia A. Shaffer
